Hello,
It is really frustrating, I'm using nagios log server.
Could please provide some information about the following error ?
out of memory: kill process 1083 (java) score 588 or sacrifice child. killed process 1083, UID 500 (java). total-vm:12395804KB, anon-rss;2389032KB, file-rss:119940KB.
And when I try to login after restarting, it shows username does not exist.
This happens a lot of times.

That error is due to Elasticsearch running out of memory. I am willing to bet that you currently have 2-4GB of RAM in your Nagios Log Server - could you please double your memory and reboot the server? Thanks!

Any ideas about this error ? This error pops up quite often.
The RAM size on that machine is 8GB.

How much data worth of logs are you receiving?

The 'java sacrifice' problem is due to memory constraints. How many logs are you sending to the box? You might need to bump Nagios Log Server up to 16GB of memory to receive them all.
The 'PluginService' INFO messages are expected.

Daily it sends around 15GB worth of data to the system. may be that is the problem.
but the bigger problem I think here is, my disks are 100% full.
Is there any way to nuke the main logs or archive them with logrotate.
Please advice

How much hard drive space do you have allocated to this machine currently?
