NagiosXI notification issue

I am having similar issues to the one mentioned in the post(https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=36566)

I can receive the test email and I am using SMTP with no authentication.

I can see that there was notification sent in nagios.log file and I can see it is sent to a contact whose email address is set properly. Still I am not receiving any notification.
Can someone please assist ?
