How to stop logging for check_init_service

Hello,

In my environment I have no need to monitor through Nagios XI our Linux servers sshd or crond. I have a few servers that were configured for them and removed the services through the Nagios XI web interface but still see logging in /var/log/messages for sshd and crond. How can I stop the check_init_service plugin to stop logging for them? This is what I see in the logs;

Jan 30 10:50:49 server sudo: nagios : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/ ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_init_service sshd
Jan 30 10:53:07 server sudo: nagios : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/ ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_init_service crond

Was apply config successful? Please edit your /usr/local/nagios/etc/services/CONFIGNAME.cfg and see if they still show up in there.

Do you have a single service assigned to a hostgroup/multiple hosts that could be causing it?

This can be closed. I noticed that our other Nagios server still had the server configured for sshd and crond and once I removed it it stopped logging.

Thanks,
