How to truncate db records

We have a recent install, and discovered we have insufficient storage at this time to collect Windows Event logs, which are consuming 80% of our storage. We've decided to postpone collecting Windows Event Logs. Is there a way to delete records older than X days or by type of record? We've already consumed 90% of our planned storage.

Log in to NLS as an administrator and go to Administration > Backup & Maintenance > Maintenance Settings.
From here you'll be able to adjust the thresholds of how long logs are kept for.

Thank you and please excuse my newness to NLS.
Our current settings are:
Optimize Indexes older than 2 days
Close indexes older than 0 days
Delete indexes older than 0 days
backups are enabled but not configured.
I'd like to temporarily delete everything older than 1 day.
What would you recommend the settings be? I suspect "delete indexes older than 0 days" should be changed to 1 day for a while.

If your information isn't something you need to archive, that's fine. How much disk space are you working with?
