Activations Exceeded

We have a customer that has an XI license since before we started helping them. Screenshot of the licence page is attached. They say,
I'm guessing this has something to do on Nagios's side, not the customer's? PM me for the license key that I blurred out, but I'd like to get them a solution. Thanks!When in Nagios there is always a message at the top of the screen to “Activate you license now”. When I try to active it I get the message “Activations Exceeded”. What is wrong?
