We have begun setting up alerts, and those alerts are triggering as expected. However, we are seeing to typos in our alerts. One is purely superficial, but the other causes an issue with the query URL not functioning. Here is an email example:

IIS Logging Alert came back with a CRITICAL state at Wed, 24 F=b 2016 11:19:15 -0500
The alert was processed with the following thresholds:
• Lookback period: 5m
• Warning: 25
• Critical: 50
Here is the full alert output:
CRITICAL: 99 match=ng entries found |logs=99;25;50

The first line simply has an = sign where there should be an "e" in Feb, no big deal:

The next to last line, though, is a hyperlink. Here is what the hyperlink contains:

The first = sign should be an "a" in alerts. Clicking the link takes you to a page not found error message. Correcting the link to an "a" takes you to the alert page as expected. I'm guessing this is some sort of bug as we've not done anything with this feature besides set it up, but this alert has triggered a few times and always has the same typo and an = replacing a letter.

I have seen this behavior before - is there any chance that your SMTP relay server is an Exchange server? Can you verify that it has the proper character encoding set? (UTF-8)

If you change your mail settings to 'PHP Mailer' I am guessing that the issues resolve - is that a correct statement? The last time I did a remote regarding this issue we ran a tcpdump against the outbound emails, and all of the characters were formatted properly - which means that mail server was mangling things. I am willing to bet that is the case here as well.
