Nagios Support Forum

I could use some help getting nagios to start on our Core 4.1.1 CentOS 7 vm. Below is what I can provide you now and more if needed. Thanks much for any help!

When I attempt to start nagios, using systemctl start nagios, I get the following:

[root:/usr/local/nagios/bin]$ systemctl start nagios

When i do a systemctl status nagios -l, I get the following

This is the cause of your problem.

You need a 'check_swap' command defined, normally in /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/commands.cfg

Alternatively, comment out the service 'Swap Usage' for host 'harveywptest' and then run the verify process again. You may get another verify error so you need to keep fixing each problem or commenting them out until the verify succeeds.

This will at least let you start nagios and then you can work on your command problem.
