We are planing to enable the mobile text messages alerts, please share if there are any documents on the same.

Do we need to tie-up with any telecom operator to send SMS alerts.

Not at all.

It all comes down to the device you are using to send with and how you can communicate with it. If you can send a text alert from the command line then you can create custom host and service commands that will send the text alert. You assign these commands to a contact and then assign that contact to the hosts and services that you want to receive text messages for.

I followed the below document to configure the text and email messages, tested it. We received the email notification but not the SMS, I am trying to send the text messages to India mobile number, PFA document has the screenshot of the same. Do I need to add the India telecom operator of that mobile number or any default one is OK.

You need to add the applicable SMS provider for your India provider, as it mentions in the document you linked - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... 1444063497

Specifically, the Manage Mobile Carriers page. Once you add in the information, then adjust your username to use that newly added carrier on the profile page. (where you now have AT&T selected)

Once that's changed, they should begin to work.

The carrier selection needs to match the carrier of the SMS number.

have added the India telecom operator name "Airtel" in mobile carriers list and assigned that to my contact information however when I tested the send notification still I am not receiving the SMS to mobile, please check the attached document has the screenshots of the same and correct me if I am missing anything.

Just to make sure - if you send an email to [email protected] - do you receive a text message from it?

If so, please post these files for us to look at (after doing another test notification) -

When I send an email to [email protected] I didn't receive any text message because it is not a valid email address. Please check and advise the next steps.
