Android Nagios Agent - looking for beta testers

This is essentially a reply to a closed post (https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=107806) about an Android Nagios Agent. I have just completed the framework for such a beast. I'll be looking for beta testers at some point soon, but there are some requirements:
  • You must be running Android Lollipop or better on your device.
  • You must be willing to run my beta, which is not available from the play store
You must be willing to let me track any or all of the following (more, if we can make it work):
  • Device connectivity to the Internet
  • Device battery level
  • Device memory usage
  • Device location in latitude/longitude
  • Wifi SSID the device is connected to
  • Nearest Cell Tower ID
  • OS level
Obviously, this will all be held confidential, but the point is to be able to potentially monitor and track Android devices with Nagios.

Those that are interested, please let me know via PM. This will be a closed beta. You will be required to run software that I provide on your device. It is based on Tasker but distributed as a standalone app. All work will be performed through Tasker at this point. This is the framework I used as the proof of concept. Also, regarding Tasker, I have nothing to do with that app, but I use it for a lot of things and if you're an automation geek like me, you will definitely want to use it for yourself.

[Edited: formatted lists, removed US requirement, removed Tasker app requirement]

I want to clarify a few things:

1) You will need to install the application on your device, but the application is not available on the Play Store during testing.
2) You will NOT need to install Tasker, but I do encourage people to look at it - it is a great automation tool for Android.
3) This is a beta test, which means there WILL BE BUGS. :-)
4) I won't be using any of the monitored data for any purpose other than technical testing.

Soon. I still have to modify it to be useful to someone who's not on our private network. ;-)

I'd be willing to give it a shot, just don't tell my manager what I say about him over text.

First VERY BETA version is ready for release. You can grab it at https://www.dropbox.com/s/zt1rp467b7f3x ... 7.apk?dl=0

Notes:

If you do not know how to install third-party APK files, then you should not be part of this beta. :-)

It is set to use one of our Nagios servers. It will work on no other Nagios servers but nagios.smartvox.net at this time.

When you first run the app, you will need to click "device name." You can accept the default or name your device whatever you want. WHATEVER it is, you need to tell me. [email protected] will be the fastest way, and I'll need your email address for alerting anyway. Once I have your device's name, I will add it to our Nagios server. At this time, the information logged to our server is only visible to us. :-) That will change soon, as we figure out what access looks like for non-EverWatch staff.

"Refresh time" is in minutes and defaults to 15. Feel free to change it.

There are two "on/off" toggles on the screen. A slider which sets off to the left and on to the right, and a toggle button in the middle. I've got them both on there to get feedback on what people like better. Please let me know.

The interface is functional but not ideal. This is a VERY BETA test, mainly to make sure that it's working on servers beyond our firewall. :-)

Let me know if you have questions or problems.

Haven't downloaded yet, but to clarify: Is this an agent to monitor an Android device, or is this a mobile app to connect to a remote Nagios server for checking status?

Agent to monitor an Android device. Just like it says in the thread title. :-)

Who needs a mobile app to connect to a web site? :-)
