Hello,
The dashboards in NLS when you slect open dashboards are not consistently sorted. Check the two attached screenshots.. As you can see we have 6 AD dashboards, but only three are listed..

Looks like only 20 are shown. I'll see if someone here has 20+ dashes saved, otherwise ask the devs if that is a known limit. Still odd that they would get cut off after 3 though.

It seems odd that someone would have more than three AD dashboards!

Confirmed limited to 20, intentionally. They are likely shown by date added unless filtered down.

Seems odd to me that someone can get all AD logs in only three dashboards...

Maybe for a little environment...

So is there some way to change the behaviour and make it sort alpabetically, which imho would the logical way to list dashboards? It seems like now they are listed alphabeticall untill you reach 20 dashboards after which newly created dashboards are not shown unless filtered. This is just confusing for new users.
Seems like Kibana 4 has a paginated list of dashboards:
https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/2711
But I'm guessing it will take some time before NLS get's there. If there already is a fr for upgrading to Kibana 4 , please +1 from me.

Kibana 4 is great from what I've used of it. However, the switch from Kibana 3 to Kibana 4 will make you lose all of your dashboards(unless there's a way to preserve them that I'm unaware of), which puts us in a weird situation as a company offering an enterprise product. I'm unsure of a timeframe for adding Kibana 4 to NLS, or whether or not it's going to happen at all, but I'm interested in it, and I won't let anyone forget that.

I wouldn't care about loosing my dashboards personally. The list of enhancements is growing bigger over time and worth the effort of recreating the dashboards. I would consider it as an opportunity to create better versions of my dashboards.
