Interface that allows editing of Nagios?

Hi all,

the question was posed to me "is there a web interface that allows editing of the various .cfg files etc." What we're looking for is a Windows interface that allows changes to our Nagios server running CentOS 7. Other than file modifications, we'd like the ability to restart nagios. Is anyone aware of an interface that would give us that capability?

Thanks,

EP

I can think of one :)

https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-xi/

That's our main product, and it was written for the very reason you ask. Aside from config management, it adds a *ton* of new features. There's a 60-day trial, fully-featured if you are interested.

Aside from that, we don't officially support third-party interfaces so you're mostly on your own getting those to work.

We're running Nagios Core, so I'm guessing it has nothing to meet the same needs?

You would have to upgrade to Nagios XI. It still runs on the core product, but has a lot more functionality added. I'd suggest spinning up a new VM and taking a look at all of the features it provides on top of core.

Alternatively, there is a webinar available on April 21st you could attend, to see more of a demo of it. https://www.nagios.com/events/webinars/
