Hi,
I am trying to run a report in Nagios XI for lets says all Critical alerts for last week, Cant seem to find any filtering option where I can select Critical and see all the Critical Notifications that have been generated.
Can you some advise how I can filter the reports.

Reports > Notifications > run the report, then search for 'Critical.' The filtered results can be download in CSV,PDF, or JPG.
You can do the same from another area in the UI:
Home > Incident Management > Notifications

Hi,
Thanks for that, But it doest seem to pick up everything it only looks for the words you search for in the Information tab, but if you look at the State tab it has lots of Warnings and Criticals that are noot showing up on the report.

Are you using the correct search button? There are two search options available while on the report page, the one that is always on every page and then the option to search within a report - use that one....

I am using that search button, but if you see from the attached screenshot before entering anything into the search button.
When you run the report this one i did for last week shows some Warnings but when I do enter Warning in the search button it shows nothing.
See attached

Your last screenshot was helpful, it enabled me to determine why this works for me and not for you.
It turns out that the 'Search' function queries the Information column, not the State Column. In my screenshot below, note that the performance data in the Info column is preceded by the State (CRITICAL: blah blah), where in your config the State portion does not exist. I suspect this is because your checks are SNMP, yes? Please confirm this as I will file a feature request that there be a filter for State type for Notification reports -- I'll need you to confirm if your checks are via SNMP before I file it though.

Do you mean agent less monitoring?
If so then No we dont use agent less monitoring, we have installed NSClient on all the machines we are monitoring.
We have bought support with yourself, should I log this via the support email,

I don't think it is necessary to open a support ticket over this since this issue is settled = I'll have to file a feature request so one can filter State type for these Notification reports. I was only asking what type of checks you were conducting so I'd have some more info when filing the FR.

I filed a feature request for this:
TASK ID 8342 Nagios XI Feature Request: Add ability to filter for State type for Notification reports
Were there any other questions, or may we lock this thread?
