Is Nagios 2.7 supported? Is there a support forum specifically for 2.x versions?

You can try the General Support->Nagios Core forum and see if you can get your question answered. The other places to try that have a lot of long-running users of Nagios is the nagios users mailing list on sourceforge, or the nagios IRC channel on freenode.
