I hate traipsing through Nagios XI's GUI looking at inheritances. It would be SO COOL to be able to click on a parent template and be taken right to it. And it would be REALLY COOL to show children of templates (even just one level would be great) so you can maneuver through the list more easily.

If I can one-up you here, how about having the "Relationship Info" list contain clickable links as well?

Please, one-up me as much as possible with things like that.

Brought this up to the devs, there should be a FR or two in order. For your idea specifically, do you have suggestions on where this would best be located? I just imagined it being in the CCM for a given object's Edit page where you assign template, popped up in a modal or something.

CCM, select host/service, click "manage templates" and then on the list of templates assigned to the host/service (right side of the window) it would be nice if those things were clickable. Can't do it on the LH side because that adds things to the list. Which is fine. I think it would also be good to see on anything in the blue box on "relationship info," on anything that appears on the RH side of the colons.

I guess the same would apply to template editing screens as well, since templates can inherit templates.

I'll get this filed tomorrow and update the thread with details. By the sounds of things both of these were already on the roadmap in some form or another.
