Dear All,

I am getting below message while starting up nagios service on newly installed machine. I did nagios xi 4.2 offline installation on redhat linux 6.5 server.

After the installation i tried to open the web page in the browser http://server ip/nagiosxi but i am getting below message in the browser

"Page NOT found error" then i checked the nagios status in the server and i am receiving below message.

]# service nagios status
No lock file found in /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.lock
[root@muthunagios etc]# service nagios start

Please could any one help me out on this?

What version of XI did you install? 4.2 doesn't sound right.

Also, what instructions did you follow for the offline install? It looks like the configuration files were not added successfully.

Can you login as root to the server, run the following commands and post the output?

It looks like the install didn't finish.
Can you go to this folder /tmp/rpms and post the fullinstall.log here so we can review it?
