I am new to nagios configuration. However I have configured it for my servers here. But I am facing a very weird problem. I decided to stop monitoring for the service Explorer. So I disabled it from the windows config file, and it no more shows in Nagios dashboard. But still, I am getting email notifications for this service even though this service does not show in the dashboard.
Then as an alternative I enabled it again and disabled the notifications for the service from the dashboard and active/passive checks also. But I am still getting email notifications just that now they are coming in as 1 per hour.
Please help me out here. I don't know what I am doing wrong here and the email notifications for this service are killing me.

Can you post a screenshot of the email notification, and the contents of your /usr/local/nagios/var/objects.cachce file for us to look at?

Problem fixed guys..apparently when I was restarting nagios service it was not stopping properly. So I forced stop all nagios services,waited a bit and then started it and now the problem is fixed. Thanks rkennedy for your reply btw.
