SNMP wizard

Hi,

Are there any instructions/guidance for using the SNMP wizard in XI ?

I've searched here and there but can't find anything specifically for the SNMP wizard.

Whereas I can work my way through the wizard, this would be for the less enabled XI user.

Thanks

Thanks, but that link is for the Linux SNMP wizard and not the ordinary SNMP wizard. The one titled "SNMP" and description "Monitor a device, service, or application using SNMP".

The general concept is going to be the same as far as the wizard goes - give it an IP and the proper SNMP settings, and off you go. The doc I posted just also includes information on how to configure a remote Linux host to serve SNMP responses. Essentially if you just ignore the first two pages of that doc, the rest is what the "General SNMP Guide" would be.

I don't see any documentation on that wizard specifically, I've created a task for it though, thank you for the suggestion:

Code: Select all

New Task ID 8450 - Detail: Document SNMP Wizard
