Maintaining NagiosXI in a non-internet connected environment

I am getting more & more requests to setup monitoring in non-internet connected environments. I saw a refernce to an old document in the forum (2012) but it no longer exists -
http://labs.nagios.com/2012/03/09/how-t ... i-offline/

On a couple of occasions, I have had to build the NagiosXI VM in an internet facing environment and then copy the VM across to the secure LAN. However that means I can no longer update/patch the server with any updateds from Nagios.

At other sites, I have been able to supply a few URLs for them to add to the Firewall whitelist - but this makes me unpopular with the Security guys.

So what I am asking.... is there anyway that I can update the NagiosXI server from one complete package, that doesn't require internet access to load all the individual modules ?

regards... Fred

Yes, you should be able to use the offline RPM tarballs available here - https://repo.nagios.com/

As for getting around for the security / network team, you can mount a CentOS / RHEL disk locally on the machine, and you should be able to install the repositories from there, rather than needing any outside sources.
