Not able to delete source

Hi. I'm evaluating NNA and I need to replace the source definition. When I press delete, the button responds but then nothing happens. This source has not worked, so we are going to test using another source. All of our network devices are set to send netflow data on the same port. So I need to delete the current one so that I can continue the evaluation.

Nagios NA 2.2.0
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.6 (Santiago)

Thank you.

Run a tail on the httpd error log, navigate to /var/log/httpd and run
tail -f error_log >test.txt

While that is running, attempt to stop the service on your source via the UI (Source > Sourcename > look for stop button in upper right corner) Once stopped then try to delete the source.
If it still does not get deleted then post the test.txt here.

Lastly, did you install NNA on a newly installed, “clean” system (a bare minimal install with nothing else installed or configured)?

We installed NNA on a test machine that has Nagios XI on it. I'll roll back the VM and re-install. We are also working with an eval copy that was extended.

The error.log contents are below.

Thanks!

Aah, there's the problem - installing it on the same server as XI. Please run a fresh install of NNA on a dedicated server, refer to this doc:

I mis-spoke. There is a /usr/local/nagios directory, but nagiosxi or nagios service. I'm going to install on a clean system anyway.

It is creating data files, but the gui states that there is no data.

Thanks, we'll leave this thread open and let us know how the new install goes.

The install on a clean machine is operating for some features. We had some help from one of your engineers. Now we are able to see report data for all except bandwidth. We have error messages in the log stating that no bandwidth.rrd file or directory exists. I've read through the prior posts with this error, but they all seem to say, "I fixed it, please close the post." I'm happy for them ... //smile

Thanks for the post listing articles. We can close this. I'll start another thread for "today's" problem //smile
