Hello,

I have many services defined for a host, whenever I have to perform any planned activity on it, I have to disable notifications on each service.

We had options in nagios core 4 that we can disable notification of all services of host by one click.

Do we have this capability in nagios xi?

Yes there is. Click Admin -> Monitoring Engine Status -> Look for 'Notifications' and click the 'X' next to them.

I have confusion,

Will this be disabled all hosts/services notifications or selected host notifications?

I want to disable notification of host and all its services during deployment.

Anything Core can do, Nagios XI can do.



That should allow you to access the "Disable Notifications For All Services On This Host " quick command that you are familiar with.

Today, I disable all alerts for my four servers for deployment, and those were around 200 services those need to be disabled notifications. But I got email notifications accordingly.
I checked all my services notifications were showing disabled.But I dont know why it sent notifications.

before that I manually disable all services one by one and did not get alerts after that.

Due to bulk of emails I have to disabled notification from admin===> manager user and required user, but It also start alerting me for other 5 servers, which is not good.

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Are you using notify-host-by-email or xi_host_notification_handler for notifications? Can you show us an example of one of the emails that came through? We will probably need a profile to review as well, so please PM that over. (Admin -> System Profile -> Download Profile)
