Availability Report does not agree with state history

Running Nagios XI 5.2.9. I have a service group containing a small number of web services that we are monitoring for availability. When I run an availability report for this service group for period "This Year" it shows both Host and Service Availability as 100% UP/OK. When I run a State History report for the same Servie Group for period "This Year" I see several Critical, Hard State alerts during this time period. How do I troubleshoot this issue? Will grab some screen shots and attach.

Can you run the Legacy version of the Availability report with the same settings and see if that shows the same information?
Post the output here.

Yes it seems to also report 100% available. See screenshot.

Do you have the archive files covering that timeperiod here?

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/var/archives/

Sorry for the delay, have been sequestered this week. I only have 60 days of archives and the most recent down hard state was 05/15 so no, don't have that information. I could try to add a non production service to this service group and see if I can recreate this however.

Do what you can to recreate as you said, and if it still comes back weird we can test this next week on our end.

Still trying to recreate this issue using some test environments. Is there an issue with having the same service in 2 different Service Groups (with regard to reporting?) Also, is there a way that I can keep reports from running automatically every time I click on the Reports Link or click on a specific report? With my reports being monthly or YTD, this is causing lots of wait time trying to test. I am also getting intermittent timeout errors.

Thanks

I am not able to recreate this issue. I added a test service to my service group(s), bounced the service several times yesterday and ran Availability report using "This Year" and everything worked as it should. Do the reports use data from files in this directory /usr/local/nagios/var/archives? I am currently only keeping 40 days of archive files.
