Adjusting users from AD entries results in password error

When trying to change any settings for a user in admin panel we get the following error:

"The Password field does not match the Confirm Password field.
The Confirm Password field is required."

There is no password field, since the auth type is set to AD. Because of this error, one cannot change user type/API access/language/email, without completely removing & re-adding that user. Verified on two instances of 1.4.2.
