Hi all,

changing the IP of a machine with an instance of Nagios Log Server, the "Instance status" on the graphical interface does not change and also in "System status" list.

How can I change an instance ip?

Thanks all in advance,
Dreeg

Try changing your settings here: Administration > General > Global Settings

Hi hsmith,

thank you but in this section I can't change the instance IP. Just hostname (and I thing that is for cluster hostname).

Can I change the IP of an instance?

Thanks,
Dreeg

I just changed my IP on a test machine, and rebooted the whole machine. After it came back up, the Instance Status page was updated with the new IP.

My guess is that LS/ES have to reset the variable for the current IP. Could you give this a shot and let us know how it goes?

Hi rkennedy,

thank you in advance for your interest and test.
I tried several times to change IP to the machine and reboot it. Nothing done.
Both in the GUI and the file "nagioslogserver/var/cluster_hosts" remains the old IP.

At the moment, given the emergency, I proceeded to re-create the machine with the right IP.

Anyway thanks so much for the help,
Dreeg

Odd - not sure what happened there. I tested and it seemed to work over here :|

Regardless, glad to see you got it working!
