Hi,

we created some alerts which is only sending alerts if its higher than warning / critical watermark.
We are using mail as notification method.

Is it possible to get only be notificated if a status changes?
1. now above watermark
2. now below watermark again.

Otherwise you get 1 mail per minute (we check each minute) if the monitored system has a problem.

There isn't currently a way to do this in Nagios Log Server. I've filed a feature request since that seems useful (ID 9387).

You could achieve that by setting the Alert Method to (Nagios (send using NRDP)) and letting a Nagios Core or XI installation handle the alerting, though I realize adding another application/machine to the ecosystem isn't ideal. We have a document that describes this process:
