Using NagiosXI as an SNMP Proxy

Is it possible to use NagiosXI as an SNMP proxy for another NMS Server?
I am planning to deploy NagiosXI plus a network of wireless devices as a solution; wireless network performs a set of functions and NagiosXI provides the management for the wireless network.

However, some customer has heterogeneous networks and has already been using its own Network Management Server such as HP Openview to manage its entire networks.
The customer would like NagiosXI to be a network management proxy for my wireless network using a standardized protocol.
I can think that SNMP is an option and my question is that:
Is it possible for NagiosXI to act as a SNMP proxy for the wireless network to a commercial server?

If it requires some additional (consulting) work involved, could you provide a rough scope of the work?

I'm not totally following everything you're looking for, but the scope of Nagios XI is monitoring, alerting, reporting. Our software doesn't do much with the network management side of things.
