Hello,

I have sent some passive checks to nagios xi that had invalid argument in the services value.

So after I accepted the checks it couldn't apply the configuration which is normal. But somehow the services are now in my nagios config.

And when I try to delete them it gives me an error as per the image attached.

Have you imported them manually?
If so , remove them form /usr/local/nagios/etc/import/*

else, manually modify the checks in /usr/local/nagios/etc/services/ and run the reconfigure_nagios scripts in /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/

On top of @developerx9's suggestion, could you please let us know what OS version and what version of XI you are running?

Your XI version is in the lower left of the web UI. Getting your OS version is going to depend on the OS, but is likely something like rpm --query centos-release

centos-release-6-6.el6.centos.12.2.x86_64

For clarity, what's your XI version? It will show in the lower left of the WebUI.

Also, did you follow @developerx9's suggestion?

Somehow deleting the checks for each hosts separately made the trick.
