Host down

Hello,
I have updated the IP of an host and then applied configuration. When I check the services of the host is it all green. A minute later the host is spotted as down with the old ip and after a couple of minutes it's back with the new IP. The number of hosts down is continuously between 23 and 33 every minute. Some hosts which I have deleted still appear. I do not see any errors in mysqld.log or messages.
Thanks,
Anish

Anish, try this process and please report the results.
XI > Configure > CCM > Tools > Config File Managment
From this menu, do Delete Files, Write Configs, Verify Files, Restart Nagios Core.

That process is for newer versions of Nagios XI. Which one are you using? Are you aware 5.3.0 was released last week? It has new features and fixes. If it's possible in your environment, I would consider an upgrade.

5.2.9
Can you please let me know how to fix this in this version. We are getting 914 false alerts. Big impact. Need your assistance to fix this at the earliest please.

In 5.3.0,
Write Config Files was replaced by
Config File Management. So you can substitute that in the above process and it should work.
Delete All Host / Service Configuration Files is the equivalent of
Delete Files.
