some service checks don't run when check_period entered

I just happened to notice that several service checks on an important host weren't being updated. The time of the last updates yesterday were at the close of the check_period for these services. This morning, at the start of the check_period, I would expect them to once again start monitoring. Most of the services on this host are running correctly, but a few just don't seem to running when they should. Just noticed this behavior, and haven't made any recent changes that might be suspect.

I interactively forced a run of all service checks for this host, and they updated correctly. Still have to wait and see if they continue to run normally, now that they've been "kick-started".

Our server is Core 3.0.3 (yes, yes, I'll migrate to XI soon), and the client is Solaris running nrpe 2.8.1

Any thoughts are appreciated....Lyle

Just to rule this out as a possibility, did all of your systems update for DST correctly from what you can tell?

The time on both the host & server were ok, but I forgot the potential time-change issue.

Yesterday, after forcing the check of all services on the host, most of the checks were running fine. But some checks, though running, had a lag of up to 2hours. Idle time on the Server looked good, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

Today, everything looks fine, so let's forget this one for now. If it happens again, I'll reopen this thread. Thanks...Lyle
