Can't compile nagios 4.2.2 workers.c / workers.o errors

Hi,
I've installed a blank debian 8.6 with all prerequisites and want to install nagios core from 4.2.2 tarball.
"configure" works well without any errors, but if i try to "make all" i get an error about workers.c. What can i do?

Have you ever installed Nagios before? I ask because if you are just looking to get started, it might make sense to just install: 4.2.1

Hi,
I've installed a nagios instance 3 years ago, which is growing since this day. Today I've 76 active Host checks an 340 active Service checks.
But my system is a bit outdated (debian 6 and nagios 3.5), and for this reason i want to install a clean new one and port my client and service configs to this new instance.

Hi,
I've done exact what this guide said i have to do. I've used the following guide:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... 1477557572 but i also tried the guide from your link. there were a few packets like autoconf which were not installed previously, but same result as before. Cant do the step "make all". same error

kb instructions actually say to just use
./configure --with-httpd-conf=/etc/apache2/sites-enabled
It installed fine for me just now. My guess is the quickest thing for you to do right now is start from scratch with the instructions at
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=96
Unfortunately, the Ubuntu instructions are a bit different than the Debian instructions.
We can continue to try to troubleshoot the install issue, but I don't think that will be as quick.

good morning,
i've tried the other httpd option for ./configure, same result. At this Point I've tried to install the system and "nagios core" the third time, always the same error at the same point. And I've tried several guides, all said nearly the same, but "make all" always break up at the same point with the same error.
