Hi,
One of the server name got changed from xyz to abc .I want to merge the old data from xyz into the new name abc.I tried using Performance data tool to merge but I have a small confusion.I selected the type of merge as "Merge all .rrd's in one folder into all .rrd's in another folder".Now in the Source and destination box what server name shall I select could you please help me
with naming convention I mentioned.

I'm unfamiliar with the procedure you mention. For future reference, if you have XI Enterprise Edition, the easy way to do this is go to:
Configure -> CCM -> Tools -> Renaming Tool -- here you can rename hosts/services and keep their performance data.

To associate the old data to the new name, simply rename the corresponding xml and rrd files to the new name. Then the perfdata will go to the new host/service name.
The paths are:

/usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/<HOSTNAME>/<SERVICENAME>.rrd
/usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/<HOSTNAME>/<SERVICENAME>.xml
