Hello Support,

I have been given the task of enhancing the Alert Emails we have for our Windows servers Host, Application and Service notifications. We'd like to include full details captured from the services like what we get when logging into the site and looking at the application errors.

I'm currently using the following format:
***** Nagios XI Alert *****

Notification Type: %type%

Service: %service%
Host: %host%
Address: %hostaddress%

%serviceoutput%
Date/Time: %datetime%

I've looked through the following links... maybe I missed something but we want the details from the application error sent out with the email as well. Anybody have any recommendations?

When you mention that you want the details from the application error sent out as well, where do you see that information? Can you show us a screenshot? The service details are outputting with the %serviceoutput% already, so I am just lookign for clarificaiton.

Sure, this is from logging into the XI interface through the web and looking at the Application Log Warning. The text that is not in bold is what we'd like sent out in the email. Currently all we get is the bold... See attachment.

Please see Standard Macros in Nagios for a listing of what's available. $LONGSERVICEOUTPUT$ $LONGSERVICEOUTPUT$ are some of the ones which are related to what you might want.

That worked... had to change out the dollar signs for percentile marks, but it worked none the less. Thanks a bunch.
