Hello,

I work for an IT provider looking to switch from n-able which is an RMM tool Like Connectwise or AutoTASK to Nagios.
We understand that nagios allows monitoring, but what do you recommend we do for the following:
-patch management
-remote desktop
-ticketing
-remediation/ Scripting

We should probably take a step back from the specifics and talk a bit about ease of use.

There's Nagios Core (the forum in which you posted), an open source project. There's also Nagios XI, which is Nagios Core under the hood. Nagios XI is much easier to set up and use. We regularly update Nagios Core, of course, since Nagios XI is built on top of it. You can see the changes in the open source version at https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nagioscore/

Plugins for both are hosted at https://exchange.nagios.org/.

We'd need to know a little bit more about your current patch management setup to say what you want to do there. What types of OSes are you going to managing?

With Remote Desktop, I assume you are talking about Windows. You should check out https://exchange.nagios.org/index.php?o ... %20desktop. Please let us know if you are also looking for VNC or remove X sessions for something other than Windows.
