Alert Stream looking for java plugin
Posted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 2:41 am
hello .. here i am again. bear with me, but i have yet another issue again.
i tried running the alert stream but this is the message i got instead:
"To view this content, you need to install Java from java.com"
as i follow on the link and clicked on "verify now" [check to ensure that you have the recommended version of Java installed for your operating system.]
this is the message:
"Something is wrong. Java is not working."
so i checked on my system by running
# java -version
java version "1.6.0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)
also, checking on the browser's edit > preferences > content:
java script and java are already enabled.
obviously, there is java installed in the system and is enable in the browser. but why is it still not working?
i already followed the instructions in nagios support wiki for clearing the browser cache, but still the same problem.
spec:
CentOS 5.5 32bit
firefox 3.0.18 (packaged with CentOS)
nagios 2011R1.8
