NagiosXI-Prod_Deployment-DB_Question

Hi All,
I have been working on a deployment of Nagios XI on a Customer Lab Environment and now it's time to deploy it on Prod Environment.
The question is the following, I was thinking on doing a backup/restore - which is the best practice or recommendation to do this, but to make the db to look like a clean installation? With this question I am trying to say I don't mind to save the checks information that have been made on the lab env - So there is any way to do clean all of this information but not the important information? (host/services/commands/etc).
I was thinking on doing a truncate of the DB Tables of notifications and logs, but I don't know if there is any better way to do this.
Regards,
