Could you clarify this a bit? Mostly, I'm curious if Probes is a brand, since you capitalized it. A quick search turned up nothing.

Also, can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the Download Profile button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info in the thread (that will at least get us some info).

After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.

Hi ,
I think Nagiosxi default uses MRTG to monitor bandwidth . So when we add some Device using configuration wizard , nagios will add configure in mrtg file locally. But when we use Probe server to execute bandwidth monitor services, Probes returns .rrd doex not exist .

I'm still a bit confused. Could you send me a link to the device type? Are you literally just talking about something like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_probe ?

Also, you sent the information from "Show Profile." I'd like you to download the zip file. That will show us your services and hosts (among other things) and will help us figure out what is going on.

If you sent the Show Profile info because you couldn't download the profile, could you post any error you had in downing the zip? If the zip is too big to PM here, I can have you email me. Just let me know.

I didn't address the mod_gearman bit because I was hoping the profile would help me figure out what was going on there. One thing to note about mod_gearman...it's not our product, so we can only offer limited support for it. That said, we do offer documentation on it and will be happy to help you with it to the best of our ability. Have you read through https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios_XI.pdf ?

Has this ever worked, or are you trying to get this to work for the first time? If it worked before, the following process should help you out:

1. Deleting the config entries for the Probes from the MRTG config file (/etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg). There will be multiple config lines that reference the IP/address of the switch

2. Delete all temporary Nagios XI / MRTG scan files will the following command:

Code: Select all

    rm -f /usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp/mrtgscan*

3. Delete the RRD file for the Probes from the following directory:

Code: Select all

    /var/lib/mrtg
This should clear any old references to the old switch and allow you to start "fresh"

If you are trying to get this to work for the first time (or if the above process doesn't work), could you give me the model # of the Probes? Thanks!

Also, for techs: profile is shared
