Nagios Core to 4.2.4 not working because ndomod

We have a VM with the CentOS 6.3 version, running NagiosXi 5.3.0 and Core 4.1.1
We want to update both , to avoid CVE-2016-9566.
When we update Nagiosxi to 5.3.4, Core is still at 4.1.1. If i try to update Core manually to 4.2.4, it fails to start with
ndomod: I've been compiled with support for revision 402 of the internal Nagios object structures, but the Nagios daemon is currently using revision 403. I'm going to unload so I don't cause any problems...
Dec 20 12:48:36 pevrtmon1 nagios[3387]: Error: Function nebmodule_init() in module '/usr/local/nagios/bin/ndomod.o' returned an error. Module will be unloaded.
Dec 20 12:48:36 pevrtmon1 nagios[3387]: Event broker module '/usr/local/nagios/bin/ndomod.o' deinitialized successfully.
Dec 20 12:48:36 pevrtmon1 nagios[3387]: Error: Failed to load module '/usr/local/nagios/bin/ndomod.o'.
The version of ndomod inside the last nagiosxi version is ndoutils-2.0.0 (but 2.1.2 is the latest)
Could somebody help me to understand the right sequence to follow to update both (If possible)
Thanks
Ileana
