nagios service would not start

We are running 5.4 after a few host name changes the nagios service would not start. Ultimately we go it back up with a restore.
Should I be concerned with this error during restore ?
Starting postgresql service: [ OK ]
ERROR: role "nagiosxi" already exists
ERROR: database "nagiosxi" already exists

Would you be able to duplicate your running production server into a test environment and then re-attempt the upgrade? We've seen this with a few users and it is likely due to a crash in Core, related to some specific configs. If we can replicate it on your test server that will help us track down the root cause.

it is a bare metal server so that would take some work

Was it just host name changes or did you change other things? What were the before and after hosts? I know you said you would try to replicate tomorrow, but those will be some of the things we'll be looking for.
I'm not sure how much digging you want to do on your own, but you may find

We were running pretty stable after a restore and then the issue happened again after a host deletion. I restored again and the service is now running. I attached the restore notes for review

What was the name of the host you deleted? Can you send us the config for that host?
Also, can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the Download Profile button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info).
After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.
UPDATE: Profile received and shared with techs.
