Just stick it in the top left corner. Just another View option. If it's been suggested before (surely?), why hasn't it ever been done?

Could you show us a screenshot of what you're referring to? Both Core and XI have 'Home' buttons in the top left for their respected frames which bring you to the base nagios directory.

When you open the services for a host in a new tab, it doesn't bring the encapsulating frame which contains the "Home" menu with it, and so from there you can't get back with a link. If you *don't* open it in a new tab, you preserve the home menu.

Got it - which product are you using?

This is nagios core. Might be "strange" to implement as you'd end up with two Home links on the same page when the full frames are displayed.

Personally, I would consider this "works as intended" since opening frame targets as separate tabs means you lose the menu structure, no matter what web page you're on.

I created https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/na ... issues/329 . The developers will make a decision on if there is a way to implement this without breaking the normal frame behavior @eloyd wants.

Oh sure, blame it on me. :-)

@eloyd, ha!

Well, alternatively, maybe the devs can find a non-"strange" way to do this. Certainly two links beside each other on every page is not going to be the way to go.
