I'm looking to expand our current monitoring solution and I recently downloaded nagios XI to play with. I've set up two nagios servers that will reside in each one of my Datacenters. I have some questions around I have a plugin loaded but can not figure out how to apply it to a host during adding the host. Also can not figure how to get all my vCenter hosts under the vCenter to show up once the vCenter is added to Nagios. In order for me to justify buying this product i need to get at least one of everyone of our devices loaded into the env and successfully reporting and monitoring. We would like to get net flow data as well not sure where in the product to get that. Also would like to get a better understanding of where to view all the cool dashboards for view the data. Sorry for the all over the place but need to get my head around this ASAP if I want to look at purchasing this product.
Thanks,
Adam

Your best bet may be to sign up for a quickstart (QS):
https://www.nagios.com/services/quickstart/
You get one free QS per product. I would suggest a QS for
https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios- ... -analyzer/ as well as XI. XI is not really designed for netflow.
I'm not exactly sure what you want to do with the dashboards, but
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf is probably a good starting spot with that.

I already did a quick start and have my env setup just need some more assistance in getting it to present more like a finished product. Right now its not informational data yet.

If you email
[email protected] they can give you information on purchasing a second QS if you have already had one for a given product. The rate is $99 for the second QS applied as a discount toward your purchase should you do so, then $249 per additional session beyond that.
