hey guys i have a question regarding the nagios notification logic.

If I create a contact:
User1 with an email address of : and then create another:
user2 with email an email address of : In this example we have 2 users who share the same email address.
We have nagios configured to send email notifications as soon as a device is detected as down

Both users are in the same contact group, which is associated with a Hostgroup: A device in hostgroup20 goes down at12:00
My question is will Nagios send the notification to twice? at 12:00

Yes, the email will come twice. The notifications don't take any account to the same email address being listed, they simply send the email they're told to.
