I am getting multiple ERROR: General time-out (Alarm signal) and UNKNOWN - Plugin Timed out (60 sec). There are multiple possible reasons for this, some of them include - The host tijuana-dc2.bose.com might just be really busy, it might not even be running Windows.
now I am able to see the Nagios XI GUI but is slow and not able to ssh to the Nagios server

Sounds like a resource issue on the XI machine itself. Are you able to get a local console through the VM manager, assuming it is a VM? I'm thinking full disk or memory, in that order of likelihood.

I am not able to locally console to it. I am getting the same error as from ssh (do_ypcall: clnt_call: RPC: Timed out)

https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... ut-375646/ suggests a network issue of some sort.

There's a lot of potential performance issues here, as mentioned previously. I'd be move interested in the output of tail -100 /var/log/messages (possible 1000 depending on time stamps)

Alternatively, if you get to this tomorrow, you could try grep "Feb 21" /var/log/messages | tail -100, and depending on time stamps you might have to give us the entire grep output from Feb 21, but that will be large.
