Hi,

I am not able to create a new service escalation as we are using host groups and the servers which are the part of the host groups does not have same configuration in terms of hard drive volumes as a result of which it gives an error message. When I use the Escalation wizard for service it still selects the host group. Attached is the file.

I would like to create the service escalation based on the hosts.

Please help.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Can you post a screenshot of the error you are seeing? If the service is defined as using a host group, then that's how it's going to appear. Otherwise you can defined the service to apply to the comprehensive set of hosts, rather than host groups.

can you please elaborate what do you mean by "you can defined the service to apply to the comprehensive set of hosts, rather than host groups."

That is referring to the link I posted regarding the section:
Service Definitions
Multiple Hosts

Or in other words, instead of defining the host group a service belongs to, directly define the hosts.
