Hello!
I have never used Nagios so want to post a quick question here to see if you think it is worth while evaluating considering how I need it to operate.
I manage many (20+) separate IT environments all with their own Active Directory and networks and I do not maintain any permanent connectivity or domain trusts with any of them. I am however looking for a monitoring solution where agents can securely connect to a central console over the internet so I can monitor all isolated and independent locations from a single location.
Can Nagios so this? i.e. can lots of separate environments report back to a central console ever the internet? I can limit access to the console by source IP and the agents would need some method to securely authenticate (eg via certificate).
Thank you!
