Display on call on status or landing page

Was wondering if anyone has extended the core Nagios web status page to display contacts or contact groups? We use a contact group for all alerts, and rotate the person in that group according to who is on call that week. I'd like to be able to display on the main status page, or service page who that contact currently is. Was wondering if anyone has done this, or has any advice where to start?

In addition to what @tgriep mentioned, if you can't find something existing, you should be able to modify the source for the side bar to add in HTML to output what you're after.

Also, we point people to exchange since we can delete problematic plugins, but there are plenty of things on github and just around the web that do not show up on exchange. Obviously, be careful with anything on a site you don't trust.
