I am evaluating the Enterprise version for my company.

If this is the level of support that can be counted on I will just go back and explain that the product is not for us.

We are always looking to improve our support. If you have suggestions on how it could be better that would be vary appreciative.

However if you just want to complain on how bad it is, there is nothing we can do to help you.

To offer a suggestion, I don't think your second sentence in your response is appropriate.

The "Agent" is basically a collection of tools, namely NRPE, NSCA, and the Nagios Plugins. There is no official distribution of a pre-compiled agent package for AIX at this time, but there are some community contributions on the Exchange that claim to fill this void. For instance, http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Di ... ns/details claims to have all three, although compiled without SSL support. Another under the AIX category there claims to have SSL support, but another user reviewed it as not working, so you will need to do some testing and find what works for you.

Alternatively, you can get the source and compile it yourself, using the same source we have labeled as the Linux Agent. Our documentation for Linux users can be found at http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... inux-agent , and we would love to hear how it goes for you, any tips you have for others, etc.
