Nagios Support Forum

I have a fresh install of Nagios R1.8 VM on VMWare Workstation 8. When I power off the VM under "power on this VM" I have an upgrade this virtual machine choice.
Is their any advantage/disadvantage to the upgrade?
I suspect it is because the Hardware Compatibility for Nagios R1.8 reports "Workstation 6.5 - 7.x"

I'm not entirely sure for that option, we'll have to test out the new VM with workstation 8 and see what the difference is. I'm thinking it's probably just wanting to make some changes to the VM to fully utilize features of VMWare workstation 8, I don't foresee it doing any harm to the XI install.
