Is Nagios XI vmware virtual machine 2011R1.8 compatible with Vmware Server 2.0?

I got Vmware Server 2.0 on Ubuntu. If I add the virtual machine (through the vmware server web interface), the web interface
seems to hang. I have to restart the vmware server to login again. I couldn't successfully add the virtual machine to my server.

The Nagios XI vmware virtual machine 2011R1.8 is a Workstation 6.5-7.x release and should be compatible with the following products:

ACE 2.5-2.7
ESX 4.x
ESX 5.0
Fusion 2.x
Fusion 3.x
Fusion 4.0
Server 2.x
Workstation 6.5
Workstation 7.x
Workstation 8.0

That being said, this specific setup has not been tested. Have you checked the VMware Server logs to see if you could spot the problem?

I believe they are typically located under
/var/log/vmware
