web ui

I just upgraded to 4.0.

When I go to the web ui no problem, I can login. We took the private IP & added an A record. Now, I can get to the nagios-fusion server by name. I can login. However, if I click any links it takes me back to the private IP & prompts me to login again. I see where I can add private and public logins. I do have the private IP there. Even after changing the private server to the new name, it still brings me back to the IP & prompts me to login again. I know I'm missing something or there is a way to do this. The name would be easier to remember. Thanks.

As a troubleshooting step, put the fusion server name and IP address in your hosts file of the PC that you're accessing the web gui from.

If your OS is Windows, c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

If your OS is Linux, /etc/hosts

See if you get the same result after adding the entry.

No, adding my FQDN to the hosts file and the name IP did not have any affect. It seems to be a redirection issue on the nagios OVA vm. Using the raw IP continues to work. Not being able to use a name isn't the end of the world.

Hello dxk9,

I'm attempting to recreate your issue. Once I've done that I'll troubleshoot and check back in when I have more information.

Thank you!
