We have a NAGIOS XI implemented.
We have a security problem with the viewer user profile.
We configured as a free variables the smtp community (we used to be configure in Nagios Core by the same way) and with the viewer profile in this Nagios, we can view the value of the free-variables.
Does It posible to hide these variables in the viewer profile?
Thanks!

Can you post a screenshot of what you are looking at? I'm not sure where this is set up. Are you talking about in the CCM?

Hi,
Isn't in the CCM. The problem is with using the host properties by the home menu with a viewer user......

You can obscure that information by storing the community string in a user macro:

Ok. I understand that you say but We need to obscure a free variable of a host template.
We have several snmp communities that use the same service (with the same command) and use A FREE VARIABLE of the host template as $ARGX.
Thaks for a quick reply and sorry for my english....

At present the only way to do this would be to remove the Free Variable Tab component and eliminate that tab from the detail pages.
You can do this at Admin -> Manage Components and delete the "Free Variable Tab" component
