Taking "inventory" of services, notifications, etc

Hi All,

We recently purchased NagiosXI and have gotten it all setup and checking all of our servers. This was done by a collegue of mine who has just left the company, and now I am tasked with taking this project over. :geek: At this point, I believe everything is in place, but I'm a bit confused on the heirarchy of templates and everything, particularly around notifications.

At this point before I get too deep into anything, I would like to just take a step back and get a pretty high level view of everything that has been done to this point. Is there an easy way to get a "audit" or "inventory" report of everything? I found this which looks promising, http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ut ... it/details , but it looks like we do not have the NDO database with the VM that was shipped for XI? Is that right or can I use that report?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't think there is any way of doing this in XI. You could look at the config snapshots to see how the configuration changed over time, but then you will be reading Nagios Core plain text configuration files. You can find these in the Core Config Manager under Configuration Snapshots.
